before you begin screens are representative for training purposes and may differ slightly from your role’s and system’s appearance. these instructions cover how to use the construction and materials™ module in support of tennessee dot processes; however, these are not instructions on the tdot requirements. you can access tdot’s qrgs on the left-hand side bar of the player by click on resources and opening the pdf file. to move from slide to slide, use the next and back navigation arrows near the progress bar. alternatively, you can press enter on your keyboard. some of the screens in this training have a scroll bar on the right side of the screen. the scroll bar will only work on the steps where scrolling up and down are part of the instructions.
overview – managing payment estimates in this training, you will learn how to manage payment estimates. this training includes the following exercises: exercise 1 – adding a contract payment estimate exercise 2 – viewing summary information for a payment estimate exercise 3 – deleting a contract payment information exercise 4 – generating payment estimate reports a payment estimate is a payment to the contractor for work performed on the contract during the given estimate period. the contract payment estimate overview lists all the contract payment estimates recorded in the system. use your region’s end date for contract payment estimates. before beginning the estimate process, ensure that for the estimate period, all dwrs are approved, sample test results are entered and fully authorized, and recurring dates are entered.
exercise 1 – adding a contract payment estimate in this exercise, you will add a contract payment estimate. you can add a payment estimate for an active contract on or after the starting notice (wkbg) key date has passed. if the contract already includes another payment estimate in pending approval status, it must all be approved before another draft payment estimate is created. if the contract already includes another payment estimate in draft status you will be prompted to delete the unapproved payment estimates before another payment estimate is added. this example begins from the aashtoware project™ dashboard.
